Pattaya Girls

The most attractive and sexy girls I have ever encountered in the entire world are the Pattaya girls. Likewise, the most unique town that I have ever visited is Pattaya.

There is no other place like it in the world as far as I can tell. I’ve searched and I can assure you that there is nothing that even comes close. This town is a mixture of Bizarro World, the Outer Limits, and the Twilight Zone all mixed into one.

For single men who are looking for lust, it’s also been referred to as Paradise on Earth.

I’ve been living in and traveling throughout Thailand for over a year now and it’s been a fascinating journey. The Thai people are very friendly and easy to communicate with even if you don’t speak Thai.

I’ve been as far north as Chiang Rai Province which borders with Myanmar and Laos. I also lived in Chiang Mai for a spell.

My travels have taken me to Northeastern Thailand, as well, around the area known as Issan. There I visited the cities of Udon Thani, Non Khai, and Khon Kaen as well as many of the smaller towns of the region in between. While I was up in that area I had a chance to cross over into Laos and visit Vientiane.

I have probably spent more time in the South of Thailand than anywhere else in the country. I made it as far south as Satun which is close to Malaysia. Most of my time in the South has been spent in Krabi and Trang provinces which are by far my favorite parts of Thailand. The coastline and beaches down there are extraordinary.

But, until a week ago, I had no idea what was going on in a place called Pattaya.

I learned of Pattaya from a fellow Hubber, Peter Dickinson. Peter is a long-time resident of Pattaya and has an insight into the town that can only come from having lived there for as long as he has.

I became a fan of Peter’s writings almost as soon as I joined the HubPages community. I was seeking out fellow travelers and stumbled upon some of his excellent hubs about Thailand. If you haven’t seen any of Peter’s work, you’re missing out on some enjoyable reading.

Anyway, I was intrigued by his colorful descriptions of the Pattaya bar girls and the Pattaya nightlife and his writing inspired me to plan a trip to Pattaya. I was not disappointed by what I found there.

The best way to describe my first night in Pattaya is to say that I was in “shock and awe”. I spent most of the evening picking my chin up off the pavement after each time my mouth fell open in amazement at the things I was seeing and experiencing.

I arrived in Pattaya at around 9pm. By the time I got checked into my hotel and situated, it was around 10 pm which is just about the right time to go exploring Pattaya nightlife. The first place I headed was the famous Walking Street which is the main entertainment venue in Pattaya.

This area of town has more bars and go-go’s and discos clustered together than anywhere else in the world. This is where you can meet the famous Pattaya girls and believe me, if you are a single Western male, the girls from Pattaya are dying to meet you.

Everywhere you walk on this street, you hear the siren’s call, “Hello, handsome man, welcome.” There are literally thousands of girls that want to spend time with you. The first time you walk through this area it’s overwhelming, really. Where do you start?

Let me set the record straight. I have never considered myself to be exceptionally handsome or sexy. “Ordinary” might be a better description.  But as I strolled around the Pattaya entertainment area, I was constantly receiving compliments from the beautiful Pattaya girls everywhere I went.

This is where I was reminded of the old Marvel comic books called Bizarro World. In Bizarro World everything was reversed. Everything was the exact opposite of real life. That’s how it was in Pattaya on my first night.

You see, in Pattaya it’s the girls who are on the hunt for the guys. They want to go to bed with you. They treat you as if you were a rock star. “Hello sexy man. I go with you?” -“Welcome, handsome man, come inside” - “I love you, handsome man”

It’s quite an experience.

What I discovered as I strolled through this area is that there are several different types of bars and different activities that go on in each.

Beer Bars

The most prevalent type of bar that you see is the “beer bar”. You see these Pattaya Beer Bars by the hundreds. The beer bar is an open air venue. As the name implies there is always a bar to sit around and in many of them there are also tables and chairs where you can lounge and drink beer.

Some of them have a pool table or two. Some of them have big screen TV’s. Some have live entertainment. Some have pole dancers. There is at least one of them that actually has a boxing ring in the center. But without exception, ALL of them have Pattaya girls.

The Pattaya girls are there to serve drinks, interact with the customers, and to basically help you to enjoy your evening. What they would really like is for you to spend the evening with them back at your hotel room. Believe me, they are experts at what they do.

The Pattaya bar girls for the most part are fully clothed and, indeed, keep their clothes on while they work. I’m only pointing that out because, as I was about to learn, that is not the case in other types of venues.

The Pattaya go-go bar is an indoor venue that offers a show of sorts. They have dancers that wear skimpy little outfits and perform on a stage for your viewing enjoyment. Some of the costumes are skimpier than others and some dancers wear no costume at all.

Yes, I found out very early in my exploration of Pattaya that nudity is not a problem. Nudity is everywhere. Every Go-go bar you enter features nude girls.

The most popular go-go bars have giant bathtubs next to the main stage where the girls put on quite a show while they bath under a shower in the ceiling. It’s no wonder that these places get packed with Western men as soon as they open.

The girls are even friendlier in the go-go bars and are just dying to meet you so that they can spend time with you back at your hotel room. Once again, “Hello, handsome man”!

There is an entire street or “soi” in Pattaya where they have the famous “short time” bars. This street is Soi 6 and is affectionately referred to by Pattaya residents as Soi Sex.

On Soi 6 the Pattaya girls that work in the bars all sit out front where they can be seen more easily from the street. They call out to potential customers as they pass by. Guess what they say? That’s right, “Hello handsome man, welcome”.

As in the other venues, the girls are hoping to meet up with the men who pass by. The only difference is that these girls don’t want to go back to your hotel with you. They, on the other hand, would like for you to spend a “short time” with them in the rooms that are located on the floors directly above the bar.

On my way out of town, on the bus, I sat next to a 50 year-old female librarian from Australia. (I’m not making this up). The poor woman had unwittingly come to Pattaya in search of a scuba diving adventure. She admitted to being rather prudish, but she was so shocked by what she saw that she refused to go out of her hotel room at night.

Pattaya is not for the faint of heart. It’s not a good place to go with your wife or girlfriend. I also don’t think it’s a good place for a family vacation.

It’s a fantastic place for single males!

Before my trip, I happened to read in a guide book that Pattaya had been cleaning up its image and that the town now had venues that were actually family friendly. I must say that in the entire two weeks I had the pleasure of spending there, I could not find the “family friendly” part of town.

The Pattaya girls can be found in every part of town, however, and no matter where you go, you’re sure to hear the siren’s call of “Hello handsome man, welcome”. It won’t matter whether you’re young or old, fat or skinny, red haired, grey haired or balding, you’ll always be a “handsome man” in the eyes of the Pattaya girls.
